All Palin all the time can't be good for anyone. I've spend the last hour washing all that crap out of my system through the power of music and poetry. I'd suggest you do so too. Take a few moments to listen, to watch, to remember the reasons why we're working for an Obama presidency.
The live version of "Yes We Can"
The original. Damn this is inspiring! I almost cry every time I hear it.
John Legend singing at the DNC - "If You're Out There."
"We Are the Ones" - We can change the world. Can't we?
"Podemos Con Obama"
Darian Dauchan - "Damn you, Barack Obama, you pretty motherfucker."
Barack's "Quiet Storms" speech, which one reporter called the best he's done in 20 months of campaigning.
And, this doesn't fit with the theme of hope, but damn if James McMurtry doesn't nail it to the wall with this song:
I realize this probably will scroll off the front page quickly, and some will flame me for posting a non-substantive diary. So sue me. I'm inspired after spending time listening to this music, this poetry, and Obama's words. Refocus and let's kick some GOP butt!
UPDATE:
Oh, hell, I almost forgot these:
Dave Stewart - "American Prayer" - Fired UP!
"Hope Changes Everything" - a new one I hadn't seen until tonight!
"Si Se Puede Cambiar" - Another great song in Spanish!
Video by Ron English - interesting.
Aaron Leigh, a country-esque song.
